I was recently given the opportunity to listen to the album titled Mediterraneo by guitarist Milos Karadaglic. A little bit of information about him - Milos is a world class guitarist from Montenegro and began playing guitar at the age of 8. As a teenager Milos attended the Royal Academy of Music in London and graduated with honors. Mediterraneo is Milos' debut album.
Tracklisting:

2. Recuerdos de la Alhambra
3. Sevilla
4. Lágrima
5. Spanish Romance
6. Adelita
7. Granada
8. Koyunbaba 1. Moderato

craft show update

Happy Monday! So the first big craft show of the season is over (I consider the Spring Fest at Cuyamaca College just a warm up!). There were so many people at North Park's Festival of the Arts (35,000). It was a little overwhelming at times to have so many people stop at the Little Pink Plum booth but thanks to all that did - I think at one point there were about 17 people crammed into the 10x10 space! Of course I forgot to bring my camera in all the busyness of getting ready for the show plus having to deal with getting my car fixed since another driver hit it last week but you can read more about the Festival and see pictures here.

I was able to get a banner made, so after 3 years of craft shows I finally feel like I have a professional looking booth now. I ended up having to hang my banner using clothespins instead of attaching it to the front of a table but I'm still happy with the way things turned out. The banner is a little plain, no designs or anything, but it is a pinkish/plum color & has my website on it. Take a look:

Now it's back to making things for the next craft show - I applied to do a Christmas in July fair & hopefully will hear back from them soon. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hi (Sophia, etc) and thanks again to the North Park Craft Mafia for letting Little Pink Plum be part of their Line Up of Usual Suspects.

Book Review - Lead Serve Love

I recently read Lead Serve Love, 100 Three-Word Ways to Be Like Jesus, written by Gregory E. Lang.

The author states in the introduction that the book was written for those who want to walk in the Spirit and do what Jesus would do, but need a simple, loving nudge to take those steps. The author has managed to convey in three word sentences what we can do, followed up by a paragraph and Bible verses that pertain to the three word sentence. There are 100 three word sentences and you would probably be able to get through the whole book in one sitting or also choose to read one sentence per day and use it as a devotional.

The book was written in a way that is easy to read and understand. I was impressed with the book cover with its rounded edges and pretty illustrations and thought this would be a great book for gift giving. As soon as I opened the book, the first page is for writing the recipient’s name if you do choose to give this as a gift. I would recommend this book to others.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
